Connect with Dream Breeders
We are committed to providing exceptional, hand-reared parrots that are not only healthy but also deeply socialized—making them perfect additions to homes with families, friends, and frequent visitors.
Why Our Parrots Welcome Strangers
At Dream Breeders, our intensive socialization process focuses on desensitization to new people and environments. We go the extra mile to ensure our birds are:
Socialized to Strangers: Our unique, rotating socialization program introduces our chicks to a variety of different people, sounds, and voices from an early age. This prevents the common issue of ‘one-person birds,’ resulting in exceptionally friendly parrots that are confident and comfortable stepping up for guests and meeting new people.
Confident and Trusting: We breed for temperament and use positive reinforcement to raise birds that are curious, not fearful. This means your new companion will be more likely to greet new faces with excitement rather than anxiety.
The Perfect Family Pet: Searching for a friendly macaw, a social African Grey, or a guest-friendly Amazon parrot? Our specialized approach ensures your parrot won’t be aggressive or territorial toward visitors, enhancing their quality of life and yours.

Who We Are ?
💎 Dream Breeders: Specialists in Parrot Excellence
At Dream Breeders, we don’t just breed parrots—we cultivate extraordinary companions. Our expertise goes far beyond the aviary, focusing intensely on the three pillars of a perfect pet: Breeding, Training, and Taming.
Expert Breeding: We selectively breed for exceptional health, vibrant coloration, and stable temperaments. Our commitment to genetic quality ensures you receive a robust foundation for a lifetime companion.
Comprehensive Taming: Every bird is hand-reared and exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, and people (including strangers!) from an early age. This rigorous socialization process produces birds that are outgoing, trusting, and incredibly comfortable in a busy family environment.
Foundation Training: We lay the groundwork for success! Our parrots receive essential foundation training, including step-up and step-down commands, and basic positive reinforcement techniques. This makes the transition to your home smoother and sets you up for continued training success.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Socialization
Q1: What makes a parrot from Dream Breeders “stranger-friendly” and not a “one-person bird?”
A: The key is early and continuous exposure. Unlike birds raised in isolation, our chicks are introduced to many different people (men, women, children), varied clothing, hats, glasses, and common household sounds from a young age. This intensive, rotational socialization prevents them from bonding exclusively to one person, resulting in a confident, well-adjusted parrot that is comfortable stepping up for strangers and guests.
Q2: Does “friendly” mean the parrot will talk right away?
A: While many friendly and confident parrots are excellent talkers (especially species like African Greys and Amazons), “friendly” refers to their temperament and willingness to interact with people without fear or aggression. Talking is a separate skill that depends on the individual bird’s aptitude and your consistent training and interaction at home.
Q3: How do you prevent aggression towards guests or territorial behavior in the cage?
A: We focus heavily on positive reinforcement and managing the bird’s environment. Our handling teaches them that hands are friends, not threats. For territorial behavior, we advise owners on strategies like the “neutral zone” transfer, which involves asking the bird to step up onto a stick or hand outside the cage before interacting, which greatly minimizes territorial issues around their home (the cage).
Q4: Are larger parrots, like Macaws, still socialized to be friendly towards multiple people?
A: Absolutely. In fact, due to their size and power, proper socialization is even more critical for large parrots. Our Scarlet Macaws and other large species are handled regularly by multiple caregivers to ensure they view all humans as potential sources of fun and attention, making them safer and more manageable companions in a busy household.
Q5: Can I visit the aviary to see the birds’ temperaments before committing?
A: Yes, we strongly encourage it! Visits are by appointment only to maintain a low-stress environment for our birds. Meeting the parents and the juveniles allows you to witness firsthand the exceptional level of care and the outgoing, gentle temperaments that are hallmarks of Dream Breeders.
